Worth Lusting For: LustreLife Editors’ Picks
Um, pass the drool cloth please. We over here at HQ have fallen head over heels with some seriously lust-worthy pieces. Sure to make you salivate, guaranteed to make you say “sold!” below is an edited, curated, fantastical selection of our current, most up-to-date, favorite faves.
Cream of the crop. Cropped pants are in demand. We’re wishing upon a star for these short and sweet botanical print pantalones, and envisioning them with a lightweight sweater to a cropped top, plus everything in between.
Marni Asymmetric Top $1,090
Feeling off balance? You’re not alone, asymmetric hemlines are all the rage. Our pick: a crisp, clean, white shell that goes beyond all fashion boundaries and can work a boyfriend jean, trouser, denim skirt, shorts, linen pant, cropped pant (see above)…no brainer.
Peekaboo we see you. Cropped tops are showing no sign of slowing their roll. Designers have once again updated the updated 80’s version (basically fashion is on the third cycle of the crop top) and we LL girls are smitten for a siren that is more boustier than Britney Spears (you’re welcome).
Fausto Puglisi Short Dress $590
Mini dresses can accentuate them gams, and as they say, if you’ve got ‘em then flaunt ‘em. We couldn’t stay away from this high hemmed wonder with a print that makes us reminisce for Flavor Flav and Mr. T.
A floor sweeping patchwork denim skirt makes us swoon. If you too think this is the bee’s knees, we suggested ‘adding to cart’ before the festivalgoers swoop in and steel your thunder and your maxi.
Gianvito Rossi Ankle Booty $1,140
You get the booty and a treasure trove of versatility with these babies. These boots were literally made for walking. Match with any pant length, skirt, short or dress length, wear to brunch, lunch, dinner…repeat.
Shop! In the name of love…..wait, that’s not how it goes. Supremely (get it?) fabulous, these silly and farcical studs are beyond fashionable. Moschino consistently turns any frown, upside down.
Marni Large Leather Color Block Bag $1,760
It’s no secret we are totes obsessed, so how could we avoid the infatuation over this number that is one-part hobo and one-part carryall? Well, we couldn’t. Not to mention the minimalistic color-blocking. In a word, we are: obsessed.
Alexander Wang Studded Saddle Bag $650
Back in the saddle again. You’d think the English were coming with the number of saddlebags available. Studs, luscious leather, and a pale palette add allure and easily set this gem apart from the rest. No horse needed. Though we do suggest the booties above.
L’Autre Chose Platform Rivet Sandal $410
We’re riveted with this platform suede, seventies-inspired, seasonless sandal. If you aren’t old enough to have lived during the Studio 54 era or, if you’re lucky enough to have, it’s no matter because you’ll be pining for these riveted and riveting heels. Disco ball not included.
