Spring/Summer 2014 – Paris Fashion Week Trends

2-Paris

We’ve already waxed poetic on all things trendy and stylish from New York, London and Milan, but we just might be saving the best for last. Because in the City of Lights, Fashion Week isn’t just a biannual event, it’s a way of life. And the Parisians took their turn at doling out the fashion forecast for Spring Summer ’14. The results? Simply stunning. Check out our faves below.

Painter’s Class – Unbeknownst to the fashion world, we just got schooled in art class after seeing the Chanel, Kenzo and Céline shows presenting smatterings of water color prints, graffiti brush strokes and abstract renderings.

Cirque de Soleil – We bid adieu to Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton, but not before he put on the most extravagantly glamorous greatest hits show, featuring dark raw denim mixed with ornamented blazers, festooned headpieces and show-stopping jeweled cocktail dresses, for the inner showgirl in us all.

Glittering Metallica – Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Lanvin gave us luxe gold lamé, shiny glittered blazers, bronzed draped dresses and sequined tops.

Pretty Pretty Pleats – It’s like that Pink song came to life, with all the sweetly feminine accordion pleating courtesy of Haider Ackerman and Céline.
