4 Fabulous Winter Eyeliner Looks
Don’t let the cold get you down! Winter is a great time to play around with your makeup and explore new styles. Let your eyes take center stage—and get holiday-party ready—with the following four liner looks.
A seriously smudged smoky eye can be sexy year-round, but it’s especially flattering coupled with cashmere sweaters or heavy knits. Having a smudger brush on hand, or using an eyeliner pencil with a smudge-brush attached, will make all the difference. After lining both the lid and water line in black, run the smudger back and forth over the lid line. This is the quickest, easiest and (relatively) cleanest way to smoke out your line. Make sure to keep some wipes on hand to clean up any mess.
2. Blue Beauty
Using blue on both the lid and water line is a great way to add color all around. First, take a black pencil and line your eyes lightly. Next, use a cobalt blue color to create lines around the top and bottom of your black line, making sure to also add color to the inner corners.
Perfect for the holiday party scene, a swipe of glittering gold adds instant pizazz. It looks great along the water line and inner corners, or on top of a thin liquid cat eye.
4. Sparkle On
Glitter liner is another party-perfect look. A silver sparkle gives a smoked-out pencil smudge some definition and flair, while a turquoise line adds creative color. If you feel uncomfortable wearing sequins or notice-me-now beads in your outfit, glitter liner is a great alternative for delivering some gleam.
