My Fall Fashion Obsession: The Moto Jacket

Fitted moto jackets were all over the 2013 fall runway. I love how they can toughen up the most feminine skirts, á la this stunning ensemble from Jason Wu’s Fall 2013 RTW, as well as add texture to an all-black outfit.
This season, I’m obsessed with Valentino’s Raspberry-hued Cropped Leather Jacket — a major “It” item if I’ve ever seen one. Cropped right at the waist, it’s perfect for pairing with full skirts, while the color gives the perfect pop to any monotone outfit. In addition, the zippers add just the right amount of hardware to keep the jacket tough against its pretty purple shade.
