Pantone: Spring’s Color Wheel
As every die-hard trend-aware fashion-following-gal knows, Pantone sets the tone every season identifying the key colors of the season.
This S/S 2016, Pantone paraded new colors with names more like nail varnish than sophisticated chic. Don’t believe us. Then you be the judge.
1. Lilac Gray. Fear not, some denim designers have seized the opportunity and rolled out sexy skinny jeans in a muted and muddied and very wearable Lilac Gray (read: soft grey).
J Brand Grey Stretch Skinny Jeans $190
2. Fiesta. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere. South of the Border inspired, Flamenico and fajitas all rolled into, red is haute for Spring.
Aquazzura Wild Thing Fringe Sandela $530
3. Buttercup. Most designers threw out the cutsie and delivered edgy and sleek silhouettes that instantly make a bold color wearable and memorable.
Fendi Peek-A-Boo Micro Leather Tote $1550
4. Snorkel Blue. No need to go searching for your flag and fireworks just yet, blue is a year round staple. It looks good on everyone and comes in every possible hue. Including Snorkel Blue.
Roland Mouret Darlington Crepe Dress $1100
5. Rose Quartz. Pink. Really light pink. But rumor has it with its touch of blue and its touch yellow it will flatter most of the fashion masses.
Raey Three Button Crepe Coat $791
6. Serenity. Some say tomato, others say tomatow. We see lilac, some see a pastel periwinkle, regardless, you can’t loose if you choose in the lilac/pastel periwinkle family.
Oscar de la Renta Short Beaded Tassel Earrings $345
