Since stress shouldn’t have to follow us into our social lives, we’ve rounded up three easy beauty tricks for just these kinds of occasions. Bookmark this page and you’ll have simple, desk-to-dinner beauty tips at the ready!

Smoke Out Your Eyes

Give yourself a sexy smoky eye in sections with this easy trick. Using an eyeliner pencil with a built-in smudger brush, like Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner, $18, draw a hash tag on the outer most half of your eyelid. Blend the shape with your smudger until all of the lines have disappeared. Draw and blend more hash tag shapes to intensify the effect.

Give Yourself Some Lip

In order to create a party-ready lip, make sure to remove all traces of lipstick that you had on during the day. You want to apply your evening color to a bare, freshly moisturized pair of lips—otherwise it may look flaky or cakey. Keep pre-moistened facial wipes at your desk so you can removed your daytime lipstick properly (we love Bite Beauty Bite Lush Lip Wipes).

Never Be Without Dry Shampoo & Blotting Papers

Two other things you should always have stashed at the office: blotting papers and dry shampoo. They refresh your skin and hair respectively, and are excellent beauty time savers. Blotting papers don’t just control shine—they’re can also prep cheeks for a pre-party application of bronzer or blush. And dry shampoo is great for hiding roots when you’re unexpectedly invited out for the evening.
