Karen Kane

Karen Kane was born in Santa Barbara and moved to Los Angeles to study fashion design. In 1979 she opened her line with her husband from their garage and became successful immediately. The two have built a large fashion house that is popular among contemporary women and is sold in major department stores and specialty shops nationwide. They bring out collection four times annually with a concentration on stylish, comfortable lifestyle clothing. One of the signatures of the line is the silkscreen print, of which the first was a zebra image. The line is chic and modern in a moderate price range.
